I love to direct, write, produce media projects. I feel lucky to be born In this age of the democratization of media, where making a short film is easier than ever. I still think the basic principles of production coordination and storytelling apply though. I look forward to creating more cool projects to share my point of view with the world.
1. The Smart One (2011)
I created this in 24 hours with an amazing crew and fantastic actors. We got the theme in the morning, did some brainstorming and then began to shoot. Always great to see women being funny.
2. BWAHM (2009)
I created this a part of program for the Urban Alliance on Race Relations Black Women’s Media Camp. Ashley McFarlance and a super talented group of friends made this with me. The issue of street harassment is something that affects all women and it needs to change. Maybe some humour helps….
3. Take Five (2007)
I created this as a part of Theatre Revolve’s media program for young women. I always love projects that are ritualistic, so I came up with this as my first media project.
